Prior to surgery the following should be done to assist a faster recovery

• be extra vigilant with your oral hygiene for a week prior to the procedure
• for 2 days before surgery, rinse 3 times a day with Curasept or Difflam -C
• at 3pm and 9pm the day before surgery have 2 Nurofen tablets (this will result in less swelling after surgery)
• have normal meals and fluid intake the day before
• if having the procedure done under local Anaesthetic only, then have normal meals on day of surgery (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO PEOPLE HAVING IV SEDATION OR A GENERAL ANAESTHETIC, THEY CANNOT EAT OR DRINK FOR 6 HOURS BEFORE SURGERY)
